1. Overview

Digital Memory of Astan Quds Razavi — Digital Library was a comprehensive institutional document presented as a vision for the organization's digital-library activities. The work brought together a retrospective of earlier technology efforts, documentation of initiatives being implemented at the time, and a forward-looking section presenting new ideas.

My involvement crossed two distinct disciplines. I provided input to the future-oriented IT component and took responsibility for the complete physical and editorial production of the resulting 443-page document.

This project is therefore best represented as a combination of institutional technology documentation and end-to-end publishing production, rather than a personal software application or a book authored entirely by me.

2. Background and Purpose

The organization wanted to formally document its digital-library vision. Instead of presenting only proposed future work, the technology content was organized to establish continuity between what had already been done, what was actively being implemented, and what might be pursued next.

The approach gave the IT component a three-part timeline:

PAST PRESENT FUTURE
Historical technology → Initiatives currently → New proposals and
work and achievements being implemented future-facing ideas
           \ | /
            \_________________|________________________/
                              ↓
                  Institutional Vision Document

The first two parts consolidated material relating to the organization's existing and ongoing work. My substantive IT contribution was in the third part, where new ideas were introduced.

3. The Three-Part IT Structure

Part I — Historical Activities

This section recorded technology-related activities and work carried out in earlier periods. It established the historical context for the digital-library vision.

Part II — Ongoing Initiatives

The next section documented ideas and projects that other people in the organization were implementing at the time, describing the current direction of work.

Part III — Future-Oriented Ideas

The final component introduced new ideas for the future. This was the part in which I participated by offering IT-related suggestions and input.

The precise list of proposals should be reproduced only after reviewing the underlying document. It would be inaccurate to attribute the full institutional IT strategy, historical research, or all future proposals to me.

4. My Responsibilities

IT and Content Contribution

  • Reviewed and contributed ideas to the future-focused IT component of the vision document.
  • Participated in shaping the forward-looking discussion as one contributor within a wider organizational effort.

Complete Editorial and Visual Production

I personally handled the full production workflow for the final publication, including:

  • Typing and preparing the complete manuscript.
  • Organizing and formatting a long institutional document.
  • Designing the page layout and overall visual presentation.
  • Preparing the front cover, back cover and spine.
  • Producing the complete print-ready file.
  • Coordinating and executing the printing stage.

The finished publication comprised 443 pages.

5. Visual Identity and Cover Design

The surviving cover uses the original Persian title «حافظه رقومی آستان قدس رضوی — کتابخانه دیجیتال» alongside the English presentation “Digital Memory of Astan Quds Razavi — Digital Library.”

Its visual concept brings together traditional institutional motifs and digital-library imagery: a turquoise/teal palette, circuitry-inspired patterns, an open illuminated book, and the organization's identity. The complete cover composition—including its front, back and spine—was part of my editorial-production work.

The artwork belongs to the context of an institutional publication. In a public portfolio, it should be presented as evidence of my contribution, not as an independently owned commercial book or an official endorsement of my personal portfolio.

6. Publication and Delivery

The final output was prepared for physical publication, not merely submitted as an unfinished Word manuscript or design mock-up.

Two institutional copies were produced:

  1. One for use within the originating organization.
  2. One for the central organization of Astan Quds Razavi.

The project ended with a tangible 443-page printed vision document.

7. End-to-End Workflow

Institutional source material and vision inputs
                         ↓
                   Manuscript typing
                         ↓
             Editorial document preparation
                         ↓
              443-page visual page layout
                         ↓
Front cover + back cover + spine design
                         ↓
                Print-ready final output
                         ↓
                    Physical printing
                         ↓
       Organizational and central-office copies

This sequence reflects my responsibility for the publication process. It does not imply that I originated all institutional material in the manuscript.

8. What This Project Demonstrates

Strategic contribution: Participation in the future-oriented IT discussion of a substantial organizational document.

Long-form document engineering: Ability to assemble and format a complex 443-page institutional publication consistently.

Editorial production: Ownership of typography, page composition, cover/spine design, and print preparation.

Cross-functional delivery: Working at the intersection of technical input, organizational communication, visual design, and physical production.

Responsibility for final output: Delivery of finished institutional copies rather than design-only concepts.

9. Professional Positioning

Recommended portfolio title

Astan Quds Razavi — Digital Library Vision & Publication Production

Subtitle: IT Strategy Contribution · 443-Page Editorial Design · Institutional Printing

The strongest positioning is neither “I designed a book cover” nor “I wrote the entire IT strategy.” The distinctive contribution is the combination of future-facing IT input with complete ownership of a substantial publication-production process.

Full Project Description

Digital Memory of Astan Quds Razavi — Digital Library

Institutional Vision Documentation · IT Contribution · Editorial & Print Production

In Iranian year 1396 (approximately 2017–2018), I contributed to Digital Memory of Astan Quds Razavi — Digital Library, a 443-page institutional vision document prepared for Astan Quds Razavi's library organization.

Its IT content was structured in three stages: an account of earlier technological activities, documentation of initiatives being implemented at the time, and a future-oriented section introducing new ideas. My content contribution was focused on the third stage, where I provided IT-related proposals and input.

In parallel, I took responsibility for the complete editorial-production workflow: typing the manuscript, preparing and formatting the text, designing the full page layout and cover (front, back and spine), creating print-ready files, and completing the printing process. Two institutional copies were produced, one for the organization and one for the central organization.

The project demonstrates an unusual combination of technical participation, large-scale document preparation, visual publishing and end-to-end delivery.
